PUNJABI BHANGRA- FAMOUS DANCE FORM OF PUNJAB

Bhangra is a folk dance of punjab(India). It is the famous and most colorful dance form. It is derived from the word called "BHANG" which is a drink in India which intoxicates the person and the person feels full of zest and enthusiasm. It is said that when person drink BHANG he do bhangra..

This way the bhangra invented in early days of punjab. The most favorite and full of celebration form of dance is all of punjabis in punjab as well as in outer parts of punjab. The following are the facts related to punjabi bhangra...enjoy reading it:

•  Invented over 500 years back in the fields of pu njab-India.
• Mainly performed by the farmers called JATTS in India.
•  As it is performed by farmers therefore many of its steps are related with ploughing, sowing, and, harvesting.
• Basically it is form of dance to celebrate the hard brown color of the crops as they are ready to harvest and its time to get a nice amount of cash for a JATT.
• But in the modern world it is being performed other than fields especially in punjabi weddings and particular get together.
• The instruments used in performing bhangra are: DHOL, TUMBI, SAPP, CHIMTA, SAPERA, DHOLKI which creates various music and prosperity in the dance. 
• The modern bhangra is somewhat changed to the traditional one as the younger generation continuously making changes to it and making it more advanced by use of computer systems.
• All the sounds are now being generated through system and being composed.
• Many famous DJs are doing very well in the world of punjabi music known as DJ sanj, DJ vix, Dr.zeus, rishi rich etc.
• Many institutes of punjab organizes bhangra compitsions which encourges youth to participate in that and make bhangra alive.
